Begging in the UK is illegal. The British government is quite strict with beggars. I took the following picture at the Oxford Street in London. The poor guy is actually ready to leave. His hat is on the ground, but if he notices a policeman approaching him, he would be able to escape quiet easily. He is not as fortunate as the beggars in Madrid (see my previous post: Begging in Madrid).
